I just read some info on risks associated with flu vaccine. While vaccines have many great benefits, for large scale public health and at risk populations, they have also been the source of much recent controversy. I think it is more important than ever, given the increasing number of vaccinations we are giving our children and ourselves, to understand the risks as well as the benefits.
If you are considering a vaccine or a series of vaccines for you or your child, check out some of these sites for both sides of the story:

National Vaccine Information Center

Centers for Disease Control

Vaccine Risk Awareness Network

Vaccine Information for the Public

Also, for those in Minnesota, please remember that we all still have the legal right to decide if, when, and which vaccines we want for ourselves and our children. Kids do not need to be vaccinated to attend school in MN - just flip the vaccination form over and fill out the back side.
